Introduction to Finding my Mantra Guided Meditation Script
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here, ready to take a little time for yourself.
Today, we’re going to embark on a gentle journey of self-discovery, one that will help you uncover your personal mantra for the year ahead. This mantra guided meditation will be a guide—a simple, empowering phrase to center you, inspire you, and keep you aligned with your deepest intentions.
To begin, find a quiet, comfortable place where you can relax without interruptions. You can sit down in a chair with your feet flat on the ground or settle onto a cushion or yoga mat, whatever feels best for you. If you’d like, lie down and allow your body to fully relax.
Adjust yourself until you feel supported and at ease. Let your hands rest comfortably, palms facing up if that feels natural.
When you’re ready, gently close your eyes. Take a moment to let the outside world fade into the background. This is your time. A space just for you. Let’s begin.
Relaxation and Breathing
Take a deep breath in through your nose, slowly and fully. Feel your lungs expand as the air flows in, filling your chest.
Hold it here for a moment.
And now, gently exhale through your mouth, allowing the air to flow out smoothly and completely.
Let’s try that again. Inhale deeply through your nose… and exhale softly through your mouth.
With each breath, allow your shoulders to relax and drop.
Notice how the muscles in your neck and face soften.
Let your jaw loosen and unclench. Breathe in… and let go of any tension as you breathe out. With each exhale, imagine stress and heaviness leaving your body, melting away like a cloud drifting into the sky.
Continue to breathe deeply and steadily. Feel your body grow heavier with relaxation. Feel the weight of gravity holding you gently in place.
Let your breath anchor you in this moment, keeping you calm and grounded.
Now, I want you to imagine a serene, peaceful place.
It might be somewhere you’ve been before, or it could be a place that exists only in your mind. Picture yourself there, surrounded by beauty and calm. Let every detail come into focus—what do you see, hear, feel? Is there a soft breeze, the sound of water, or the warmth of sunlight? Let this place wrap around you like a comforting embrace.
As you settle into this peaceful space, begin to reflect on the year ahead. Think about what matters most to you—your values, your goals, the kind of person you want to be.
What’s important to you?
What brings you joy, strength, and purpose?
Now, take a moment to consider what you’d like to carry with you into the new year. Are there qualities you want to embody?
A mindset you want to cultivate?
A feeling or belief you’d like to hold onto?
Trust whatever comes to mind, without judgment. Let your intuition guide you.
From the thoughts and feelings that have surfaced, a simple word or phrase may begin to emerge.
This is your mantra—your personal intention for the year ahead.
It might be something like “I am resilient,” “I trust myself,” “I am open to growth,” or something completely unique to you.
Whatever it is, let it rise naturally. If nothing comes to you just yet, that’s okay too. Trust that it will reveal itself in time.
Once your mantra begins to take shape, say it silently to yourself.
Repeat it, slowly and intentionally, as if you’re planting a seed deep within your heart. Feel the energy of your mantra.
Notice how it resonates in your body.
Does it make you feel strong? Peaceful? Inspired? Allow those feelings to flow through you.
Now, embrace your mantra fully.
It is yours—a gift for the year ahead. Hold it with confidence, knowing it will guide and support you whenever you need it.
When you’re ready, begin to gently return to the present moment.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing small movements back into your body.
If you’re lying down, slowly stretch your arms and legs, feeling a renewed sense of energy.
If you’re seated, roll your shoulders or gently turn your head from side to side.
When you feel ready, open your eyes.
Take a moment to reorient yourself to the space around you. Notice how you feel—calm, grounded, and centered.
Carry your mantra with you as you step into the year ahead.
Let it remind you of your strength, your values, and your deepest intentions. Whenever you need to, return to it—it’s always there for you, a steady light to guide your path.
Thank you for sharing this time with me. May your year ahead be filled with clarity, purpose, and peace.
